Discover your unique style, learn the basics or hone your advanced skills, guided individually by an experienced artist whose works have merited numerous exhibitions in solo gallery shows or museums in Houston, New Orleans, Portland OR, and other cities. Jeff has a laid-back, nurturing style that puts students at all levels at ease. Adults 18 and older. MEETS: Eight Tuesdays from 6-9 p.m., January 24 to March 14. $275. A materials list will be provided upon registration (see below).

Shane Maberry

Learn techniques to create small scale metal items such as contemporary jewelry and decorative items. You'll learn design basics, along with smithing techniques: piercing, forming, soldering, cold connections, basic bezel setting, texturing, casting and finishing. Shane combines his fine arts training with an awesome range of shop skills, and is delighted to work with students at all levels of skill and aspiration. The studio will be available to students during the week to progress their projects. Students will supply materials for their projects, a basic hand tool kit, and a $30 lab fee. $275. MEETS: Eight Wednesdays from 6-9 p.m., January 25 to March 15.
